Dunno what it sounds like because it ain't released until October. It being Tony and Jorn sez it gonna be good. Wickedpedia indicates that Black Sabbath is no longer and didn't know what Tony had been up to. Seems Tony is 78 now and I haven't seen any of the last performances with Sabbath so dunno how he looks on stage. Mick Box is 79 and while I haven't seen anything recent apparently Heep is two years into their farewell tour. Reportedly that wraps up this year. I guess if your kees hold out you should be able to do it. Jorn is 58 or so practically a spring chicken. Ronnie was a little older than Tony when he fronted Black Sabbath and Sabbath going by the name Heaven and Hell. The song for which they named has one of the badassest riffs.

Whiskey of the day is Old Charter. I threatened to quit buying it when they put the half-gallons in plastic but I guess as long as they got glass fifths I'll get it that way. You drink a whiskey for more than fifty years.... smoke is Buffalo Trace Sweet Jane again. Snack was one of those little Red Barron mini-pizzas with a handful of Great Value Spicy Nachos. Them's the ones in bags that look like Doritos and they got similar flavors with different names. They got a Nacho Cheese and Doritos has one but I don't care much for the Doritos and the Great Value ones ain't that great either.

Death-Mate is probably the only Martin Caidin book I own. That's from the early 1980s and dunno if it's been reprinted. On Amazon that's the cover they show so no later covers are readily available. A lot of people who never heard the name probably saw the teevee show The Six Million Dollar Man and the spinoff with the Bionic Woman and then a bionic dog. Okey-dokey.

Our friend at Glorious Trash has a bit more on some other stuff. Death-Mate is rather depressing and Idunno how his other stuff is. It seems that the teevee show was not that close to the book but when was that ever not the case? Less often than was from what I've seen. Our hero or anti-hero or just main charachter is equipped with a .22 Magnum macnine pistol with a very large magazine capacity so he can wreak destruction on a grand scale. Caidin was controversial and this book gives you a clue as to why. He did get into PTSD (before anyone called it that) and big government and surveillance and all.

Recommended? For historical filling-in it's probably pretty good.



Nope, didn't see the remake. Probably wouldn't have anyway as remakes suck diseased donkey testicles most of the time and read a couple of synopses (that's supposed be right but...) and can't recall having seen anything with either of the lead characters (Bronson and Vincent) but it been near forty years so why bother to try? Just recycling the plot with another title might have done as well.

In the original Charlie Bronson and wife Jill appear, as in some other films. Seems she was in one of the Death Wish films, the second and need to take another look at that and the DW films generally. Charlie was a great actor and generally better than his material but if you want action with class he does it.

OK, this is the sequel to a pretty good flick but it's almost ten years and 1972 to 1984 is more cultural change than one might expect. Jan-Michael Vincent was just getting started on what could have been a good career but he had some problems like people in showbiz often do.

As always cool Charlie is the main attraction and the ending is probably what you't expect once he noticed that his protege was planning to replace him.



The main gate alarm buzzed and Alex looked up. Passenger car, one occupant. Possibly a restored antique. There was a big red car down there. He got up and belted on the cross-draw holster with the Mark V and went downstairs.

Erika Sommers was sitting on the hood of a '66 Caprice, maroon with white top. She was wearing a white satin MA-1 that he had given her. He guessed that the car was a product of her brother's resto shop. She was wearing black Ray-Ban aviators, her long auburn hair spilling over the white jacket. He waited for her to speak.

"Dammit, Alex," she said after a moment, "I wouldn't be here if it wasn't serious. Can we go inside?"

Might as well, whatever it is I'm probably not gonna like it.

"Come on up. I haven't put in an elevator yet."

Erika followed him up the oustide stairs to his control center. Without being invited she went to the bar and spooned three ice cubes from the bucket and poured several ounces of half-and-half into it.

"Want one," she asked.

"Yeah," Alex replied resignedly. "And a smoke."

Erika made another drink and brought it and the pack of Tafallas over to the workstation.

"What are you working on?" she asked after lighting a cigarette.

Alex lit his and took a drag and a drink.

"Thought you had something serious," Alex replied. "Something for Harry."

"Did you know Michelle was back?" she asked.

"Nope."

"She's staying at Roger's place in Jonesboro," Erika said. "Sleeping twenty hours a day and you can barely communicate with her when she's awake."

"Depression will do that," said Alex. "Until you fix that..."

"Don't you feel anything for her?" Erika asked. "You... look, if anyone can get her out of whatever..."

"She's gonna have to want to," Alex said. "Do you think she wants to live?"

"To be brutally honest, no. Do you want her to live?"

"Don't lay that on me," Alex said.

"You loved her once...."

"I still do."

Last Light (2026)


For what it was worth they brought Fauci in and it was either lie or take the fifth and he did a hunnert and something times. I believe there was a mobster and a union boss - OK that is two people. Union thugs are both but the mobster was official Cosa Nostra. Fauci's safe from prosecution for his past crimes - unless the autopen pardon can be invalidated - but it he lied again they could get him on perjury. Like most I witnessed his behavior the whole time and the cocky smarmy little piece of garbage he was then he is now. He wasn't as cocky this time even knowing he's safe from prosecution and has to know he's more despised now than ever. Some of it may be that his diary was found - apparently left on servers - and it was like something written by a teenaged girl.
Fauci is and has always been a narccist and socipath. Once the Plandemic was underway he was like his life was a 24/7 orgasm. During the Biden regime he was as giddy as his juvenile diaries reveal. The maturity of a junior high kid at best and that juvenile behavior in an eight year old man would be merely pathetic but those who put him in that position of power are responsible. He was there through several presidencies and his incompetence and corruption was tolerated. By the time Trump figured him out - he had bad advisers that first term of he might have gotten rid of him before there was too much damage. By the time it was apparent it was too late and to fire him at that point, with the election coming up, would have done little good.

Seeing the scarf bitch backtracking so fast she about to fall over and bust her cranium is hilarious. Apparently she didn't get a pardon and she might be in some trouble. She ain't but seventy or so if they could get her in prison it would be fun. Fauci gonna be dead before long and then he'll find out that pardons don't save you in the afterlife. Enak used her in a couple of his novels where the minions of the deposed regime are on trial.


On the left is a beautiful young woman, a girl really at eighteen. She was a freshman in college, played and sang in a band that recently released an album. Boeing deserved to be out of business years ago. Both the cost and time to not even have it finished yet are ridiculous. President Trump used the one the Qataris gave him and it seems there were some moles that tried to disable the defenses and may have succeeded in doing so. It was pretty good food and city people I traveled with a bit found them charming or something. ~~ Seems that 155 scientists, physicians, and public health advocates signed an open letter demanding that the Trump administration and its allies halt their "vilification and harassment" of Dr. Anthony Fauci and other American researchers. They only had 51 "intelligence experts" write a letter saying that Hunter Biden's recordings of his debauchery was faked by the Russians or somebody. When you're caught in as many lies as they have been it can be five hundred for all I care.

This prison death was at the federal joint down in Forrest City or thereabouts. It on Dale Bumpers Road according to Google. Dale Bumpers was a governor of Arkansas back when they was generally Democrats. Having a Republican this time around ain't helped much but a dim is still worse. Bumpers went to defend Slick Willie at his impeachment trial. Anyhow a guy from Kentucky was in there on a seven year for possessing with intent to distribute and it being the local news it just said he died and that about it. The Arkansas State Police are investigating the one at Left Memphis and the one at Fayetteville. Fellow at West Memphis apparently trying to break into an ambulance and fled when the police came but they caught him and arrested him and he died in jail. Other one was a woman who was taken in on a traffic violation and some other stuff and was taken to the hospital when she showed signs of having ingested drugs and was DOA.

Don't have many killings at Osceola and it about the same size as Wynne and like Wynne declining. Don't have many in Wynne either. Anyhow this one was one kid shot another and there some said they was fooling around with a gun and some said it weren't no accident. While we're on Osc might as well toss this in. It an Osceola person who was driving through Manila too fast and had a cold one and was under 21 and aparently one of the cops had caught her doin' the the same thing before and let her go so they decided to arrest her this time. Whether slugging her to gain compliance was smart remains to be seen. The other cop had a Taser and probably should have used it 'cause now there gonna be a lawsuit and his superiors may hafta give him some grief if only for appearances.

Don't get many killin's at Caruthersville either. That a little place over in the bootheel of Misery about 5500 or so. Anyhow they arrested some folks and a couple got murder charges and the others got the usual stuff that you get when you involved in someone getting shot and kilt. Cotton Plant is another place you don't have a lot of shootin's but I believe this one may not be the first this year. No word on insurance so the one that got helicoptered over to Memphis might have a big bill. Or someone will, likely we the taxpayers.

Walz is one of the biggest buffoons to peg the needle on the Peter Principle meter in a while. Giggles was selected but even in Minnesota getting elected governor must take a certain amount of intelligence. But then you have Newsom in California who is pretty close to being as dumb as Walz. The probable fact is Walz has for a long time been owned by the Chinese and with Minnesota being owned the Dims he only needed to.... well, be selected by the machine and the election was automagic.


Like the Fauci diaries the Biden revelations only confirm what was already known. He committed enough crimes with classified material to go away for a long time and it was covered up. So it was reportd by someone or other that Barron Trump had a reported relationship and public reporting (NPR?) said that Don Jr. and some other people were friendlyly associated with them. Okey-dokey.

The Wynne mayor been there a while and apparently ain't fucked things up enough to not get reeleted a few times. Couple of competitors this time around. No idea who Warren is but he got a fakebook page that don't tell much. The Bradshaw boy has the same name as me old elementary school principal. Tall skinny dude has two kids close to my age, few years older. The kids was boy and girl and married the boy girl kids of a rich man. In the process of getting less rich but at the time was well off. She left her husband after he put her through law school and he failed at numerous businesses and ended up doing a big insurance fraud. Father in law bailed him out on the condition he agree to a divorce. His kid became a doctor and looked just like his pa. The mayoral candidate doesn't look like them so dunno if he related.

Run through the crime and such real quick. All they got on this one just sez two guys had a heated argument that ended with one of them being shot. Being shot does generally cause at least one party to stop arguing. At least if shot fatally. This is so far just found remains and how they became remains wasn't known at press time. I've probly told you about some time or other. Hughes is in Saint Francis county and it's where the fellow I worked with at the bank in Wynne had a used car business there after he left the bank. One day a young kid he repopped a car from shot'n'killed him. This feller was a candidate for a judgeship and the governor and attorney general endorsed him and he apparently snug as a bug in the Arkansas political machine. Right quick they backtracked and calling for him to quit. C'est politics or something.


Maybe it's progress with a commie cartoonist rather kinda sorta asserts that both sides - or all sides when a libertarian or such has enough money to run much ads - 'call each other names'. Actually it's more a case of confusing facts with slander. Bad as a lot of Republicans are and lousy as some are at marketing their ads are pretty much just facts whereas the dims are pretty much all lies. That's how that works.


Already did the Cracker Barrel thing and the pic got in there again. ~~ The Clancy case is one where the wrong person is on trial. The Elvis and Michael Jackson doctors got in some trouble at least and lately there been one or two cases of a celebutard dying from drugs and the suppliers got prosecuted. The doctor that put her on twelve psych drugs and had her totally dissociated from reality needs to go directly to jail. ~~ Someone else who should to directly to prison is that hag. They changed the law so she could sue for something that never happened and even if it had the statute of limitations had run out long ago. I'd like to see Trump sue he for twice as much in Florida and ruin her party. At her age though she'll be burning with Fauci and George Floyd and Biden will probably be there soon enough.

OK, guy has some fake money marked as such and tries to spend it. Good thing he didn't OD while they was arresting him. This dude is from Iowa and what he was doing in Jonestown. It kinda seems like he was living here as he had some kind of home but not much detail. Gotta keep those cards close as all you gotta do is have the card to buy stuff. This guy had a murder warrant out and was driving through northeast Arkansas and apparently committing traffic violations while doing so. Not smart when you're wanted for murder. The other stuff probably won't matter that much in the end. This one was already in some trouble over a killin' that I probably told you about and got some more charges. Over there around where I once stayed for while.

Warren is way down there in the south part of the state. Like a lot of small towns the population is shrinking. Sez that The Warren Police Department requested assistance from the Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division after the discovery of a deceased person on August 5. Well, you have a person lying in the street and call the police I guess in a town that size calling the state police would seem a good idea. Looks like the whole county is only about 10K population so probably it is.

Finding a body in a freezer is always kinda strange whatever the circumstances. Find one layin' around in the outdoors or in a body of water - floating or non-floating but the ones on top of the water are more likely to be found. This was up in Alaska so pretty much anything could have happened. Body had been there for a few years and nobody had reported him missing. This was in Alaska BTW, the Jonestown teevee has a website and it got stuff all over to get you to click. So there you are.

The amount of drugs coming in has been cut back so that's probably a good bit to do with it. A while back they were claiming that the boats being blown up were fishermen and such but that was debunked. Now they suggest it ain't working. Not gonna watch as reliable sources tell me there's no point since the blackwashing bad as it was wasn't the worst of the butchery. Reading the book might be a good idea. The TV miniseries back in the 1980s was pretty good.



Michelle Travis had been one of those startlingly beautiful women and probably still was but curled up on the bed in pajama pants and a T-shirt and probably needing some basic hygenic work it wasn't apparent.

He leaned over and grasped her arm, shook her until she opened her eyes and tried to pull away.

"On you feet, soldier," he commanded. "Get up and report in five minutes."

"Alex." Her voice was slurred, small wonder sleeping twenty hours a day.

"Erika is going to help you," he said. "Be in my office in five minutes."

She would do good to make it in ten or fifteen but...

"Michelle," Erika said, "come on. I'll help you. Come on now."

Alex turned and left them, going into the den and sitting down at the big table. He looked around and located the bar, went over and poured some Wild Turkey over ice and sat down at the table.

It was more than five minutes but he didn't expect it to not be. Michelle came in, Erika with a hand on her shoulder. She was somewhat less disheveled but at least erect. Alex nodded to Erika and she withdrew.

"Sit down," Alex said and Michelle sat with no more enthusiasm than she had been standing.

"What do you have to say for yourself?" Alex asked.

"What do you want me to say?"

"I would like for you to say something that makes sense. Do you want to live, or be the vegetable you're working towards being? You cared about something once."

"I cared about you."

That hurts and I can't... dammit... what? It's not my fault? Is that true?

Last Light (2026)


Already talked about Fauci. An 80-year-old man with the maturity of a teenager. Sadly he's one of many people in positions of power because the political party in charge appointed tools to carry out their orders and you don't need much intelligence to do that. The Biden administration was run by the mental equivalent of a junior high student council but most were probably less intelligent than the average junior high student. As for fact-checking the Trump administration removed a lot of the propaganda installed by the previous bunch and if they get back in charge they'll put it back. We'll bigger things to worry about if that happens though.


Apprehending illegals at airports. Some people got a problem with apprehending and removing illegals anywhere. Boofuckinghoo. Anything President Trump does is seen as corruption by some people. ~~ Dunno who gonna pay that but probably the commies are too cheap with their party being broke and they need all the money they can get for paying people to peacefully protest, or whatever. ~~ What they gonna do? Admit they were doing their part in the attempt to prevent him being reelected? This was during the 2021-2024 with all the lawfare and shit.

This dude didn't OD while being arrested so he can spend some time with the three hots and a cot. Be nice if they did hafta sleep on cots and get baloney sandwiches like Sheriff Joe used to give them. Didn't say what he was buying or the business on south Caraway and there a lot of businesses there. NEA Report had the same thing the teevee site did so mebbe they just read the police report or whatever. At Marion you're close to Memphis and sometimes it's denizens of Memphis that been over here in NEA stealing from the Ulta or Wal-Mart (both Jonestown Wallys get hit) but they get up to Paragould some and the get caught before they make it to the river. This one was from St. Louis and was in a rental car so who knows. This dude was wanted for murder in Tennessee. Not sure what he did to get the attention of the law but he had drugs and a gun so what happens there is probably minor compared to murder if they get him on that. Since he being extradited to Tennessee he probably won't have to spend much time in the Crittenden County Detention Center which still has that lousy old website that takes forever to find an inmate so I didn't check to see if he gone yet.
