That's the only live Kansas album I have as far as I can see. Only got two or three of the studios and that includes Leftoverture and Point of Know Return and that's the vinyl - whether I have CDs or not I'll have to check. Most everthing I like a lot I bought CDs of. Kansas kinda funny, good stuff but somehow I didn't get into it the way with some. Anyhow DVD (Device-Voice-Drum) is a DVD. Seems a vocalist they had briefly really messed up some songs like The Wall so bad it kinda ruined the performance. Don't remember who it was.

They doin' the casino circuit for a while now, probably could find them somewhere close an go see'em. Apparently these old groups that been around forty years and got fans from several generations can count on an audience about anywhere. Some sez the casino deal is good because they're always set up for performances and all the band has to to is show up and do the show collect the check.

Classic book of the day is Pellucidar from 1915 by Edgar Rice Burroughs or ERB as he is known to SF aficianados. That's the ACE printing that I have. That woulda been 197-something. ACE had a lot of SF stuff - the Conan stuff and all - in those days, having some major writers in those genres working there back then. I was looking for a collection of the seven books in one volume but haven't been able to locate one. That's Dian, David's squeeze in the books. He's the one that drive the TBM to the center of the Earth. Actually not all the way but to the inside. Outside of the Mars books and not counting the jillion Tarzan books - OK, two-dozen-something - the Pellucidar books are the most numerous. One is in both categories since Tarzan visited Pellucidar for some reason. The Pellucidarian novels are among the most entertaining even if limited to a prehistoric world while Barsoom offers more opportunities for invention. OK, Dian the Beautiful (ERB names some of the innerworld characters this way like some dude named Jubal the Ugly One and of course Hooja the Sly One) is the prehistoric inner-world equivalent of the incomparable Dejah Thoris. The usual Burroughs acerbic humor is present as in this bit from At The Earth's Core: We may be snuffed out without an instant's warning, and for a brief day our friends speak of us with subdued voices. The following morning, while the first worm is busily engaged in testing the construction of our coffin, they are teeing up for the first hole to suffer more acute sorrow over a sliced ball than they did over our, to us, untimely demise The Pellucidar novels - the ones with David anyway - featured his sidekick and inventor of the TBM Abner Perry. Perry provides some amusing moments, such as: But to my astonishment I discovered that with death staring him in the face Abner Perry was transformed into a new being. From his lips there flowed - not prayer - but a clear and limpid stream of undiluted profanity, and it was all directed at that quietly stubborn piece of unyielding mechanism. Back in the day - when they made a lot of good movies - one of the British moviemakers made a decent film of it. Peter Cushing as Dr. Perry and Doug McClure who made some other ERB movies.

Classic movie is Phantom of the Paradise. Picked it because there was a lot of news about the Rocky Horror Picture Show being 50 years old or something. I saw it once back in the day on account of when we went to the movies we went to whatever was supposed to be the ones to go see. Kinda funny sometimes, not enough to see it again. Later I watched some of it on the movie channels and never did manage to stay interested.

POTP came out a year earlier and I liked it so maybe I figured Rocky Horror would be good. Seen POTP lots of times on cable/satellite. Liked the music better (by Paul Williams who also played the baddie) and the lovely Jessica Harper who also sings quite nicely. She did some other movies but the only one I seen was Suspiria which I may or may not have seen more than once.

Paul is great and Gerritt Graham was too. Paul did a lot of movies back in day, quite a bit of TV too. Probably Little Enos in the Smokey and the Bandit films is what he best known for. I liked The Cheap Detective where he was the little punk that is told to slap himself silly and does. TCD not being as famous as the Smokey movies probably not as many know him from that.

Weird snack of the day isn't all that weird but can be hard to find. Dollar Tree is usually a good source. First time I tried a PSNR (that what I call the Pearson Salted Nut Roll when I around people like me that acronomize a lot just for fun) Dollar Tree is where I finally found some. Never heard of it before I listening to late night radio on a long night drive I used to do and there this show with a gal who was pretty entertaining and played '70s music - the FM type they call classic rock these days. Anyhow one of the sponsors - probably the main one or only one because thare was an ad ever break - was the Pearson Salted Nut Roll maker. Seen the white interior and had reservations but it better than a PAYDAY (that the way it on the wrapper) and not just because the wrapper ain't stuck to it so much. And it tastes better.

Okey-dokey, where's Chris? He late again?

Whiskey of the day is Dickel white label. Actually the label kind of beige but the other one I get a bit has a black label. 90 proof and I believe eight years. I the the half-gallon (actually 1.75 liters so about 0.46 gallons) and save the bottles because some of the girls like to use them for crafts and things. Found a couple of tins of them Drew Estate seegars, these the Kentucky Fire Cured. Right fancy with a flat metal box with ten 4x32s individually wrapped in cellophane or whatever they call it these days. Not as expensive as you'd think from the presentation. They got several flavors of those and I tried a couple of others. A lot of big ones I haven't tried. Only thing I noticed is sometimes the draw is a little slow at firs.

Got some cool weather and probably the really hot is gone for this year. Mowing all done and down trimming around trees and stuff. Two to three dozen little ones to move and need to decide whether to plant some more pines and just maybe some cedars. The new place could use some pines but I gotta find a beater tractor to clean it up. Used to be you could find and old Ford 8N in decent shape and put a five-foot bush-hog on and didn't have too much money in something gonna break some. Probably be a little Deere, maybe one of the 790/990 would be priced about right, or the next iteration and I guess the 7/990 was the last of the three-digits. Probably watch the auction and see what turns up. Won't need it until spring anyway.

Okey-dokey, lessee what we got.

General Mark Anthony grunted irritably as the phone buzzed. The only phone he kept by his bed was the presidential phone. It was the phone he didn't want to hear ring. If the president was calling him something was wrong.

Actually something had been wrong for some time, and he knew he should never have accepted the appointment. But the two generals ahead of him had retired when the current chairman had begun to indicate he was about to go, and Anthony waited too long. If he didn't want the job he would have to decline the appointment, instead of just not being there. He had cursed himself numerous time over the past seven months.

"Mr. President," he said, and waited. Normally the calls came from a member of the inner circle, and he wondered who had the unpleasant duty of being with the president tonight. The man was little better than an idiot, like the one before. A puppet, his every word and action was fed to him by someone in the inner circle who ran the country. At least he was not yet senile.

"General Anthony. Here's the president." It was Jane Whittaker, the chief of staff. He despised her, but then most of the staff did as well. He wondered how she got there - someone, or more than one someone in the inner circle would have selected her. She wasn't especially bright, and not even up to par with the office politics.

"Anthony," he said.

"Hello. Sorry to disturb you." There was a pause, probably waiting for his next words. He pictured someone whispering them to him. Who? Come on you old fool, he thought.

"Mark, I'm going to put Harry on, this is important."

Harry Springfield was the Secretary of Defense. It figured. Some kind of threat, or actual incident.

"General, we have a..." again a pause. What was he waiting for? He looked at his watch. 0336. "General, sorry, but there's no sense in trying to even start this on the phone. Get here as quickly as you can."

"Situation room?" he asked.

"Yes, please hurry."

'Please'? he thought. There was panic, Anthony thought. "Randy!" he called. Master Sergeant Randall Bowie was his batman. The aide quickly entered from the adjoining room where he slept, an old Colt .45 auto in his hand. He quickly scanned the room for a possible threat before lowering the gun.

"White House," Anthony said. "Urgent. Give me a couple of minutes." He disappeared into the bathroom while Bowie began laying out a fresh uniform. A quick pass of the electric razor and a rinse with mouthwash, followed by several rinses with water - he didn't want the smell to advertise that he had delayed for even a few minutes - and he was getting into the uniform. His aide helped him get make the necessary adjustments and they headed downstairs.

What say we get to it? The Memphis stuff is all in the news on the Memphis news and some NEA news. That would be the National Guard coming in on account of how the governor asked the president if he would do it. The usual suspects were as unhappy as you would expect. The USAG came down and made a speech and the SECDEF was here. Results have been good and this poll was still on the way up last time I looked. Other malcontents' comments here and here and here.

There's less crime in Memphis while this is going on and we didn't get the expected influx of malefactors over here. The police warned them they'd get cuffed and stuffed so maybe they took it serious. Yeah, right. Not many Dodge Charger stories lately so there's one. Saw something about a police car colliding with a Mustang but lost it. Thugs like them Mustangs and Camaros too. They so ugly since about 2009 and then in about 2015 went balls-to-the-wall ugly. Camaro ain't seriously ugly but don't look that great. Gimme an 08/0 Mustang and an 87-90 IROC-Z. Them good looking and and if it ugly I ain't gonna be seen in it.

Rivers gettin' warmer? Nah, they gettin' unprecedentedly and unexpectedly intensely warm. Okey-dokey. ~~ Citizen historians documening the Smithsonian. All that America-hating and especially white-American-hating and elgeebeeteeqwerty stuff they loaded them up with is being removed and they prepared to put it back the minute another clinton or obama or biden gets in. Hope that don't happen for about six or seven lustrum. ~~ A diverse crew will be going to the moon if NASA ever gets it done. Not if Elon does it first that's another story. He could probably have us on the moon in a year but he working on Mars. ~~ As an autistic person old enough to have been around when nobody hardly knew or cared much I don't feel stigmatized by them trying to understand it and maybe prevent it. ~~ Since half the money that goes into welfare is already administrative cost I kinda doubt it. But the more they get cornered by their lies being exposed the more they lie. ~~ PRESIDENT TRUMP went to dress down the UN and either they couldn't get the escalator to work or it broke or got broke. Simple as that. Acting like he made it all up. ~~ FBI director does dirty (and illegal) tricks trying to frame PRESIDENT TRUMP and gets caught and it's retribution? Got it. ~~ Reducing the numbers will help. ~~ They been cooking the books, actually just outright lying, and claiming there suddenly less crime because they say so and now it Trump's fault if they go back up. Okey-dokey.

Shootings at three high school homecoming games in Mississippi with eight dead so far. Some of the victims were transported to Memphis - two hours away. The affair in South Carolina was at St. Helena. Google as needed.

Lessee, wacko lefty kills Charlie Kirk. Another wacko lefty kills two not-wacko-enough politicians. Don't remember which one in North Carolina or the one in Michigan. All shootings are pretty horrible - except where the perp gets shot instead of innocent people - and horribler for the ones getting shot. This being generic political cartoonage it's probably to say people shouldn't guns. I suggest that they shouldn't shoot people. Except the ones that need shooting.

What, Chris?

Yeah, me too. Let's do that shootin' at the Chateau. The Chateau Apartments are on the hilly corner of Caraway and Matthews. Little north of ASU and seems they used to have a lot of students. Probably pretty classy when new and when I lived there they probably about twenty years old but well maintained. Managers was a couple of old women and had the office there in the middle of I guess about twenty two-story two-or-three apartment units. I lived in the bottom of what may have been the only single-wide - one downstairs and one upstairs. Most was two or three wide. Had two hot chicks moved in the top unit right after I arrived but generally didn't see them much. Unless they was around the pool - I only recognized them with their clothes on.

Anyway I only stayed there a year and was out of town a lot. That was the days of satellite TV if you didn't want the limitations of cable. Each apartment had its own Primestar dish and we had a couple hundred channels. Believe the next move was to Paragould as I changed jobs about that time and the office was there.

I believe this was one of the early reports. Said it was across from the police station and I had forgot there is a police station across the road. And all we eventually got was that teen was arrested. So no mugshot or name. Okey-dokey.

Not sure if they ever got this right. That is whether he was a Fayetteville man or if because he ended up there. Seems as if he was a Forrest City man so why he got chased to Fayetteville is anyone's guess, except for him and maybe the police involved. What I do know is it's a good ways from Forrest City to Fayetteville so maybe a Forrest City man was on his way to or from Fayetteville and close to Fayetteville is where he was apprehended. Drivin' a stolen vehicle ain't smart with all the technology and all and then committing a traffic violation while you doing it is even less smart.

My suspicion is that commie cartoonists aren't very bright to begin with and are also the optimal combination of brainwashed and ignorant. Ignorant as in not knowing things rather than ignernt as in the southernism for mentally challenged. I mean, I mean, I mean he's a comabt veteran of the forever wars and near twenty years in the Army. And does the 'toonist know that the armed forces has reversed the decline in enlistments that preceded the Trump administration? Maybe, whether or not he believes it. He's just pissed because the mental defectives and DEI hires are being removed.

"First of all, General," he said, "we've all had time to go over the names, and every one is a member of Congress. So at least the motive is no mystery."

"Is it?" Anthony asked. "Killing forty-eight members of Congress, was obviously the objective, but doesn't tell us the motive."

"It can only be, as someone said, politics by other means."

"Clausewitz's definition of war," Anthony said. "What sort of war? Someone kills a large number of members of Congress - not enough to change the balance of power, by the way, if all were replaced by members of the opposing party - so what does that suggest?"

"If we presume the discontented groups that remain realize that," said Simmons, "and I would think they do, it could be a final act of defiance, and revenge."

"Possibly," said Anthony, "but consider this. In the past such attacks, almost always based on fringe politics, sometimes religion, whatever they may be, are again always poorly planned and executed, and the usual reasons for getting caught apply. This level of professionalism, the tight operation, the amount of preparation that must have been necessary, argues against that."

"Anti-government types, especially white supremacists, we still have those on the radar," said Simmons.

I'm sure you do, Anthony thought. Anti-government could include half the population, and he knew that white racist groups were so few and small they couldn't finance a decent beer bash. The FBI occasionally found a few rustic types with bad attitudes and encouraged them to act out one of their fantasies, usually having to infiltrate an agent provocateur or two to get them to do it. He sometimes cringed inwardly at the things people like Simmons said, in part because of the stupidity and partly because he might actually believe it. He took a diplomatic approach. He had an idea, one he didn't like, but feared it might be correct, and it was saving these people wasn't going to be easy.

"I doubt one of them could pull off anything like this," he said. "Those are small, not very organized, certainly not well funded. I'm not certain that we have yet conceptualized what sort of operation this might be."

"You don't think someone has pulled some of them together?" Simmons asked. "Perhaps several groups, possibly allied with some of the fundamentalist cults. Those people are always thinking the end of the world is coming, and they have nothing to lose."

I'd like nothing better than to throttle you right now, Anthony thought. But for now at least, I do still have something to lose. The chief of staff was blankly staring randomly at the others for a few seconds at a time, the movement of her eyes and occasionally her head the only indication she was conscious.

MacArthur's Freehold (2022)

The brawl in downtown Jonestown left a couple guys in bad shape, one uncertain as to whether he was gonna wake up or not. It seems to be one of those situations and maybe the perps will be prosecuted and maybe even get convicted but.... anyway there we are. This last one they arrested was from Misery. Kicking a guy in the head when he on the ground is pretty sick. This wasn't in Jonestown but in the ad/clickbait section. Get into it with another customer and you're right there in the store buy some knives and stab the other participant. Couldn't find a mugshot.

Kinda Wynne news since the plane crash over near Parkin. Two of the guys was from Jonestown. Some years back a space shuttle pilot crashed a WWII airplane over near Earle, few miles from Parkin.

This is different from the prom night shootin' in Wynne. I didn't remember it even though it was just last year. Come to think of it idunno if they got all the ones from the Wynne incident tried yet. It was taking a while. Anyway he got life plus three lustrum added on because he used a gun. This being Arkansas he probably will be gone for quite a while. He 21 and the victim 18.

DOGE might be doin' something? Let us know when you know for sure. Besides DOGE has been over for a while. ~~ The Supreme Court didn't allow President Trump do do anything. It ruled according to the constitution. ~~ I agree that the Trump administration is the most unprecedented president in history. Not in the way these guys like. ~~ Guy shooting at ICE deportation crews. With the Mexican cartels putting big money out to have people kill them... ~~ President Trump is forcing the UN to accept its irrelevance. Neither he nor Bibi gave a flying fig. ~~ Obama says paracetamol only after some practice and still hasn't a clue what it is - he just says that they tell him to. ~~ Nah, legit Lations aren't. The illegals we don't care about and they're leaving anyway. ~~ The 'beloved school superintendent' was a criminal illegal alien registered to vote in at least one state and about a dozen protestors showed up. ~~ When Dims were in power they deliberately slow-walked FEMA aid to red states. Now it's being done right.

The pride thing may be coming back to Jonestown. With the (socio-political) climate change I wouldn't bet on it. Stuff seems to be dying out except in the big cities where they got a lot of them. If only the doctor that near killed me had been making nekkid videos when he did it he mighta got in trouble. This one seems like a couple of guys was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Wouldn't expect charges unless it's against the victims.

Russ Vought is the OMB director and the object of some serious hate because of trying to trim some of the fat. Whether they hate him as much as they hate Stephen Miller I doubt but it's close. Of course they hate all of the Trump administration so they're pretty busy.
Actually when the government was tiny the lakes weren't polluted because it was a couple hundred years ago. Food has been inspected for a pretty long time and I don't see anyone trying to stop it. Social Security and Medicare are about broke because welfare and forever wars (mostly welfare) and I don's see any liberals trying to fix it. They'll cut SS and Medicare before they'll cut welfare or even make some of the parasites work a little for the free food.

Alex@MyndCryme

Over in Memphis they locked up so many malefactors the already crowded jail is more so. If they had been arresting criminals all along maybe they could have got the jail expanded or the new one they want built. Since they sure ain't gonna use the Sheriff Joe solution. Some local politicians suing the governor for having the city cleaned up. I didn't expect it to take this long.

They got the latest No Kings thang and had a civil rights attorney commentate on it.

"I also want to think about everyday people and remind that sanitation workers were everyday people who decided to protest for better working conditions, protest for their rights, and protest to create a union," Browne-Marshall said.

She weighed in on the No Kings rally's possible impact.

"I think protest has already grabbed their attention, and that's why you have people disparaging protesters, calling them un-American, saying that they're, you know, should be illegal," she said.

WREG.com
I didn't hear anyone say they should be illegal but these people hear all kinds of stuff that wasn't said. Some call them "Hate America" protests but really they just hate everything that is good and decent. Word is they're spending quite a lot on this one and it may be more organized. Probably should expect some nasty stuff and they blame Trump.

Why is this year's more serious? Because the dims are gonna lose and big. ~~ The arrested superintendent is an illegal and registered to vote in at least one state and lied about having a PhD and stuff and was arrested for firearms violations and stuff like that. ~~ Quite a few CEOs think they are working. The big ones. ~~ Americans certainly don't broadly oppose them. In fact the only ones who oppose them are the cesspool cities full of illegals and even there a lot of citizens are glad to see them gone. ~~ Imagine feeling so entitled. ~~ Russia doesn't have much tolerance for that stuff. Statistically they have fewer perverts anyway. ~~ What to know about ICE taking out the trash is it's gonna continue. ~~ Larry Ellison - with Elon Musk - is one of the few self-made giants. And like Elon he did it producing useful stuff people wanted to buy. He's pretty conservative. Duh. ~~ Like we're gonna invade. President Trump doesn't wars. He fixes the problem so war isn't needed.

The DEA was in Wynne to getthis guy. Don't remember how they came to be after him but usually someone he sold to or a colleague squealed. These two were separate incidents. Efficient reporting. I'm just guessing that Smith Village refers to Smith Township. If so it would be around Wittsburg. Happy to hear Wynne has an AI policy. And maybe golf cart/UTV ordinaces. Earle continues to have problems. Happened to click on a fakebook link and some was discussing and it seems it still is nearly a food desert as the Dollar General is the only place to buy food.

What, Chris?

Dunno. Only one I ever seen is on the way to Jonestown. Left side of the road when you goin' north through Harrisburg. Hang on... Shorenuffitis. Got the pic on Google maps. So it an actual groshery store.

What?

Either Parkin or Earle or maybe both had a Mad Butcher back in the day. Apparently it/they been gone for some time. Looks like there some kind of little metal building called The Friendly Market. Got bars on the doors like they do them places. Looks like an Arkansas Dimocrat newspaper thing outside. Whatevever it is is's yellow like the Democrat ones are. They still have it and the Jonestown Sun in some gas station convenience stores and I wonder if anybody buys them. Jonestown down to about twenty pages or less and fifty cents to a dollar last time I looked.

Strange to see this dude making sense. Seeing as he's one of the ones wanting to tax me for money to pay for everything he seems to think will be better if he has more money to spend on it. Which is about everything. Wonder what he figures the solution is.

Why? He was one of thousands of illegals who shouldn't have been here and he gonna be leaving. ~~ The ICE officer who shoved the woman was defending himself. She attacked him. LEO defending themselves shoud be the always normal. ~~ Bipartisan support means a RINO or two or three goes along with the Dims. They get too RINO and they get primaried. Good things they're cowards and doing the safe thing. ~~ The Memphis opertion is going pretty well. The usual malcontents grousing as usual. Only problem is there so many being arrested the jail and courts all clogged up. They'll probably let most them go at the first opportunity. ~~ That one makes no sense. Credible research is good and there's been damn little of it. ~~ Not what he said but OK cupcake. ~~ Springsteen has never not been political and never not on the wrong side. He's just more irrelevant than ever now. ~~ Three Days of the Condor was pretty good. Redford not so much - can't seem to remember being impressed by him in anything. Good movie though. ~~ Why is tourism down in LA? You're kidding, right?

"General, as I've just told Harry, we have no choice." he said. "We must impose martial law. We're all in agreement."

He waited for a response.

"No choice at all?" Anthony asked. He knew in their minds that there was not.

"Dammit, General," Jordan said "if we don't do something now it may be too late to do anything. The country is in a panic now, and if we don't give them some reassurance, we don't know what may happen. And it's not just the general population. JFK and LAX are jammed with people leaving the country. I'm talking about the ones with the money to just pack up and leave. The ones that make the country work. Dozens of the biggest ones, with private planes that can fly non- stop to Europe, have already left. The others are trying to get commercial flights out, tickets are being scalped for hundreds of thousands of dollars, just for a flight out of the country. People think it's the end."

"I see" Anthony said. And he did. It might be the end, but the end would be sooner and more decisive if their madness was allowed to continue.

"What are the plans for government operations?" Anthony asked. He would need to get the president and the inner circle out of DC, somewhere he could get control of them.

"What do you mean" Jordan asked.

"With the country under martial law, you understand - particularly in light of the cause - unrest will almost certainly increase, at least for a time. People who aren't acting up now will begin to. Washington, and the White House in particular, will be the center of attention. It's not a good idea for us to be here, or for that matter for our location to be known."

"What do you think?" Jordan asked, looking around the table.

"Good point" said Springfield. "At the least there will be demonstrations and probably riots here. Where is the best place?"

"Camp David is too well known." said Jordan. "Secrecy is important."

Please say it, Anthony thought. Make it your idea.

"How about Carver's Point?" asked Whittaker. "It's hard to get to, and if the president's actual location isn't known his summer home won't attract any attention at a time like this."

"Until the whole entourage shows up, Secret Service and all" Boling said.

"We'll have to keep it low key" said Jordan. "It's separated from the mainland, it's fairly easy go fly most of us in using regular chartered helicopters. The president can't get in unnoticed, but the fact that no one sees him leaving won't prove he isn't there. Send Marine One down to Miramar to wait for him to leave. Hopefully we won't be there long."

"That is a good idea" said Springfield.

"It's better than Camp David or Raven Rock" said Jordan. "Raven Rock would be taken as a sign of fear."

"Mr. President, are you comfortable with that?" Whittaker asked.

"I believe it would be a good idea." he said.

At times Anthony's contempt for the man threatened to appear on his face. The way the others seemed unaffected by it surprised him, but perhaps, he thought, it shouldn't. They saw him as a tool, to be used for its purpose as a mouthpiece, as impersonal as a telephone or a computer.

"All right" Jordan said "We'd better get started."

MacArthur's Freehold (2022)

The WREG website has these surveys on a lot of articles. Notice that they don't tell you the dummies are watching ABC/CBS/NBC/CNN/MSNBC. Things may be changing, actually are changing, at the alphabet soup news channels.

Congress deliberately gave away much of its power to the president so congresscritters could avoid blame. Now some of them want it back. Past Republicans were pantywaists who didn't attempt any serious reforms and now that one is not so much fun. Mostly the Democrats are upset as Trump has the Republicans in line. The 'war on drugs' has nothing to with terrorists smuggling weapons which happen to be drugs. Got it? We don't need immigration reform and never did. We needed immigration enforcement and we're getting it. Notice united congresswomen is a bunch of dims and one or two female RINOs. While an occasional conservative shows up in the Sun they're rare. Non-wacko-lib letters to the editor are rarer. Not sure who even reads it much less writes to them. Maybe the reason I see more lately is they're too lazy to pull some new content off the feed.

I doubt any chimps are bringing flowers to wherever they buried her. Chimps are pretty nasty creatures in the wild what with child abuse and gang-banging (beating up other chips) and cannibalism. Of course if you put them with people and give them psych meds they'll ript of people's hands and faces. Shortly before she died she said she would like to ship Trump and Elon and deport them somewhere. Lessee, one guy builds spaceships better than NASA and the other brings peace to millions. At least she didn't want to kill us.

I am inclined to wonder if these people really that delusional. The people being indicted committed provable crimes and the proof is there and black and white. They didn't expect to ever lose again and overdid it. Not that I expect Comey or Bolton or Fat Fanny's sister to ever pay up. The best one can hope for is that there will be one or two uncompromised jurors to prevent an acquittal. Faced with being tried again and maybe again some might cop a plea just to get it over with but only if there was no prison.

General Mark Anthony attached a small black box to the phone, pressed a couple of buttons, and dialed Leo's number.

"Mark, how are you?" Leo said.

"Depends on what you have for me." Anthony said. "How's the voice?"

"I'd say it's working" Leo said. "I could've used something like this, back in the day. All right, here we go. Call this number and say 'Blue Whale'. That's supposed to get you connected."

"Thanks, Leo" Anthony said. "If this works out, you'll have not only saved the future of your kids but many others."

"Maybe it will atone for at least some of my sins" Leo said. "Vada con Dio, Mark."

He told Margaret he would be unavailable for an hour and went out to his car. On the beltway he found a place to stop. Parking in a remote of the parking lot of a hotel he made the call. When the call was answered he said "Blue Whale."

He had switched to a male voice, but distinctly different from his own.

"How may I help you?" asked the voice.

"Leo told me to call you" he replied.

"Leo said you may be in a position to solve a serious problem." the voice said. "By the way, call me Ishmael. For the time being. What position are you in?"

"Chairman of the joint chiefs" he replied. So much for hiding his identity. But it was too late for that. If the call was intercepted and decrypted, so be it.

"I have complete authority" said Ishmael "to commit the PLA, as I understand we are being called now, to any arrangement you propose. That is, where a truce is concerned. Is that why you're calling."

"Not exactly" said Anthony. "My call is completely unauthorized. I believe there is no possibility of the government agreeing to negotiate with you. For that to happen, some people may have to be eliminated. I am prepared to arrange that."

"What do you propose?"

"Your best chance, I believe, is to secure the persons of the president and his inner circle. As you must know, he is merely the mouthpiece for the people who actually run the government."

"We assume so" Ishmael said. "Do you know how that can be managed?"

"Quite possibly" Anthony said. "Are you familiar with the president's personal property at Carver's point?"

"We are. Go on."

"In a few days the president and his people will be there. Everyone needed to make decisions and have them carried out. I will be there. If you can cut off the area where the compound is located and neutralize the Secret Service, I will handle the inside details. They will do whatever I tell them - not a one of them has any idea how to get out of this."

"What is your plan?" Ishmael asked.

MacArthur's Freehold (2022)

Kind of like illegals having a good old time with open borders Indians were enjoying the free ride. ~~ The reason it wasn't an email is that SecDef Hegseth got them all their physically to tell them how it's gonna be. Can' claim they didn't get the message. And it helped impress on them that he means business. ~~ Most of us out here in the real world know about the plumbers and electricians and builders that are millionaires and a lot didn't go to college. Living in a bigass house in a nice part of town neighbors with a struggling white collar type hoping somebody will make the student loans go away. ~~ Hundreds of washed-up celebutards either trying to get an extension on their 15 minutes or they're really that dumb. Only people getting locked up for saying stuff was in the previous regime. ~~ Isn't Nepal where the Ghurkas come from? Maybe when you're that crazy you'll have some pretty bad-ass fighters. ~~ That one got in there twice. ~~ Justice looks like revenge to some. Especially to the ones what did evil stuff. ~~ Women in the armed forces have to be as physically capable as men for seriously physical jobs. The ones that can make it will. ~~ Pope should just say nothing rather than say stupid stuff. Guess he has his orders.

Hard as the latest triumph of peace (OK, sometimes they don't last long) engineered by President Trump was to swallow some did the expedient thing of saying some nice words. This dude can't even do that - he shows Bibi and the terrorists abusing the bird. Israel-haters gonna hate but this last thing disgusted those muslim states inclined to wink at them most of the time. I'm not optimistic as Hamas will do everything it can to undermine it while preparing for another attack. Never know though with Trump's track record. He may have finally - being a genius at making money - persuaded them to put their hate on the back burner and grab some lucre filthy or otherwise while the gittin is good.

Not allowing welfare queens to buy chips and dip and soda and stuff on the SNAP card isn't gutting food programs. To sane people anyway. Less junk food to people on Medicaid saves more money if they get sick less from being obese and eating garbage. Due process has nothing to do with ejecting illegals. Sorry sweetie. Bipartisan to these folks means get it close enough that a RINO or two or three helps them get the job done. As with most Super Bowl entertainment for long time the idea is to see how far they can push the disgusting (not to mention no-talent) affronts to sanity and decency without losing money. That the NFL (and professional sports in general) takes people with no redeeming value and nothing but athletic ability and makes them rich right out of the gate to inflict carnage on innocent citizens is evil (2 John 1:11) and so much as watching it on television contributes.

Believe I addressed that above. ~~ Because they know it's temporary and changes little. In this case Trump's winning record suggests any change will be for the better. ~~ Does that come under general evolution revision? I'm gonna file it there. ~~ Thing about congresscritters demand Trump officials tesfify is that the critters are dumbasses and the Trump people are smart and they're completely fearless. They posture and pontificate to no effect. ~~ Still don't know what threats Trump made. Made fun of them and the alphabet soup networks got blowback from their stations and chickened out. ~~ Pretty sure there others more underrated but maybe they're counting the ones that made it superbig commercially. Cars were decent, nothing to get excited about. ~~ They can be cured as surely as they can be infected. The infection rate has been going down since the beginning of the Trump administration and as the American Renaissance progresses there will be less of it. Sadly the ones butchered - physically and mentally - will never completely recover. ~~ Big flightless birds used to fly? Were they big then?

"Once you have the place secure, with your men in control of the compound, I will have a company of army troops seal off the area. By the time we arrive, the announcement that martial law is in effect - whatever that means - so the move will seem logical. I have the army under control sufficiently. Can you do your part?"

"We've studied the presidential security extensively over the years" Ishmael said. "We are confident we can handle this scenario. We can put over fifty men, with the capability of Navy Seals and then some, in there by sea. Once we are in control with access by sea, we can bring in more before the Coast Guard can get there."

"Good. Here's how we plan to play it once we're in control. There won't be any rescue attempts as long as negotiations are going on. I'm going to attempt the president to be reasonable. If I have to knock off one or two of his inner circle to convince him, I will do it. Once they realize they won't leave there alive unless they play ball, I'll be able to play him, and them. Once he's committed himself with a public speech and set in motion certain things, he won't be able to retreat."

"I believe I see what you're planning" Ishmael said. "I'll begin making preparations. We'll be prepared by the time you get there, whenever that is."

"It looks like two or three days" Anthony said. "Probably the next time you hear from me will be after we arrive."

"That should be satisfactory" said Ishmael.

Anthony powered off the the phone and replaced it in his briefcase. He was exempt` from most routine scrutiny by security operations, but if the call was intercepted and decoded, it would be a simple matter to find the phone, and him.

He called General Talley.

"Jim" he said when Talley answered. "If you get a request for a brigade or so of men to secure Carver's Point, how quickly could you manage it?"

Talley didn't ask why. He knew what Carver's Point was - it was often in the news as the president spent a considerable amount of time there.

"In two days we can have it locked down with resources from Camp Holland." he said.

"That sounds good. We won't be there for a couple of days yet. Stay close."

"Will do."

He looked at the television screens. Each one showed news of the growing turmoil. One screen showed a map of the country with incidents marked with symbols of fires and explosions. There were a lot of them. The phone rang.

"Mark, Dean. We have a meeting in a half hour." Jordan said. "Strategy room."

"Got it" Anthony said. "I'm on my way."

It was the entire group, the president included. He was usually not there.

"We'll be making the move to Carver's Point tomorrow" Jordan said. "I'm sure it will be leaked before we can get started, but that's all right. Once we are there the president will announce the imposition of martial law. Carver's point will become the seat of government until the crisis has abated.

"Most of us will be travelling with the President. Harry, you and Bob" he nodded at Barwick "will be going with the vice president to an undisclosed location and joining us later.

"The Secret Service is preparing now, and barring any unforeseen problems we will leave tomorrow around ten. Any questions?"

"We don't know how the public will react" said Anthony. "When they suddenly and unexpectedly learn that the president has gone, we don't know what may happen. Are you confident of the security arrangements?"

"What do you think of the situation?" Jordan asked.

"I'm thinking we can't be too careful." Anthony replied. "Everything that has happened has been unexpected and uncontrollable. If martial law is in effect, having an army brigade or two to secure the place might be prudent."

"Harry, can you see to that?" Jordan asked the Secretary of Defense.

"I'll see to it." Springfield said.

Springfield would tell General Talley what to do, and Talley would see to it that a trustworthy commander was chosen to do the job. Once the secret service was neutralized and the compound under control, the army would have no need to know that its commander-in-chief was a prisoner. If he did his job, he would be free. And alive, which was better than some of his inner circle would be.

Don't we all? But layoffs of the tens of thousands of deadbeats is good if we can't get rid of the ones that are responsible for them being there right away. Maybe with the Dims going nuts we can have at least a mini red wave and increase the margins.

Slow news lately. Good that crime is part of the news so there less of that. Catchalater.
