"You're finished, doctor."
Carson had the look of a cornered animal. His eyes were wild with fear.
He's seein' his future. I bet prison scares people like him the most. Experienced criminals are more prepared. And they're always thinkin' there's gonna be a way out.
"Let me go," Carson croaked hoarsely. "Give me a chance to run. You know they'll catch me anyway. It was all James' operation. Most of the money went to him. And the guys in Texas."
Bein' fat not so smart for a criminal. Sweating, and it's not sixty out here."
Alex leveled the Colt, knew what Carson was seeing. He'd seen it, had Jessica point his .45 at him, safely of course. Magazine out and a snap cap in the chamber.
It was the only time he'd ever looked into the barrel of a gun pointed at him. Even then it was scary.
"By all rights I should give you the whole magazine," he said. "In the gut. Watch you..."
"PLEASE! I'll do anything. Look, I've got some money stashed. I never trusted James, any of them."
No honor among thieves? Say it ain't so.
"This pig giving your trouble?"
Jennifer!

Alright, by popular demand (7 the 23 denizens of MyndCryme isn't a majority but it's enough) I'm back. Not gonna post
every day and won't be a regular format with book and movie and music reviews, just whatever happens by. It being the fourth day of the
seventh month and too danged hot to go outside for more than a couple of minutes and traffic probably pretty crazy I'll hang out inside
and let the kitty cats out once in a while.
Got Juneteenth out of the way and dunno
where it ranks killing-wise
and they was already doing pride stuff all month. Overlap
between pride crime and Juneteenth crime is I have no idea. And you got the pride days and pride weeks all year long. I may
or may have not speculated that both Juneteenth and pride stuff are on the way out. Maybe not to disappear completely but the
corporate funding is drying up for both. Anyhow it looks like the
drive-in totals
for major Juneteenth violence is four major
events with one or two deaders per event with about an average of ten shot. Think daily Chicago stats. Chicago was about average
but since it was Juneteenth might as well include it.
Had the
No Kings
thing on Flag Day/PRESIDENT TRUMP's birthday/250th birthday of the U.S. Army. That 'coincidence' was probably
at little too much for some people - as if an unseen hand turning his head just exactly enough for a bullet to nick his ear and
put some streaks of blood on his face. That couldn't have been choreographed so perfectly by human hands. Anynow they spent
about two billion dollars on Rent-a-Crowd and got zilch for it. So it still looks good.
Usual "news" sites are about as usual. Maybe something interesting or would be if they told you more about it or maybe not. The
other TV site
had something I figured might upset some people. I mean
white South Africans moving to the U.S.A.
isn't something those that think correctly approve of. I'm good with it but I'm not politically correct - just right. Their problem is they want every other kind of people coming
here except white and civilized. Met a few SA types that have been in the country for quite a while. Good folks, work hard and all.
Mentioned the TDS-fest up there,
one in Jonesboro
had maybe a couple dozen, none reported in Paragould. The one in Memphis was pretty small too but over in Knoxville they bussed in a few hundred. Seems nobody much paid attention,
kinda like the pride and Juneteenth stuff. Just a few people interested. With corporate sponsorship down and the while DEI thing dying out look for those to get even less love in
the future. They
canceled the pride thing
in Jonestown so
some other folks
had one. Oddly black history month made very little news this year. I didn't hear a lot of noise being made about it, a handful of articles in the usual spots. Idunno, people
have such short attention spans these days and with so many shiny objects I suppose there is a limit long term anyway. Kinda like creating a mega-pop-star or whatever they call
Taylor Swift. It took a while to get that one tuned right but when it it it was big. For a while.
Think of Taylor Swift or whatever the flavor of the day is as Mountain Dew or some similar product. Tastes good, addictive for many people. A concoction of ingredients - some of
then toxic - that tastes really good to a lot of people. Drink enough of it long enough and it will probably kill you or at least be a major factor in your attenuated life
expectancy but it tastes good. The Swift audience is something like 10-14 year olds (mentally if not chronologically) so the product has a short shelf life. It took ten years or
so to tune the product and if they get five or six years and a few billion it's a good deal. This past year was probably the peak but somewhere out there another one has been
taken out of the vat, rinsed off and sent to the lab for the final look. What it will be in another two three years is anyone's guess so they probably have a half dozen or so
in progress at any time.
MAGAHurtz@MyndCryme
I spent some time in the upper levels of a big company - billion-plus revenue and privately owned. One of the insiders - a relative of the owner - was part of some
outfit that seemed like a Bilderberg Group for businesses. She told us about meetings they had yearly where they decided what the big thing would be for two or
three years out. Stuff like colors and fabrics of clothing, furniture and home decor, stuff that consumers buy. They they coordinated the launch of their versions
of the products around the same time. I don't imagine that everything is micro-managed that way but the fact is that if people have the opportunity to conspire -
not necessarily illegally - to make money at least some of them are gonna do it. In the movie Damnation Alley the kid asks the Air Force colonel of the world
will ever return to normal. He said who knows, it might happen on its own. The kid says nothing good ever happens on its own. I think even fewer bad things happen
on their own. Pretty good movie but the giant scorpions were awful. The other special effects were quite good but the lame scorpions ruined it. I haven't read the
book - my Zelazny is pretty much the Amber books. George Peppard and Jan-Michael Vincent in the film and nobody else famous as I remember. I'm pretty
sure I never watched an episode of the A-Team and only a couple of Airwolf. Both were good actors but I didn't see much of Peppard's stuff. Bit of stuff with Vincent -
mostly action flicks like The Mechanic and Vigilante Force around that time.
Okey-dokey, book and movie review out of the way. Music? Revisited Dio-era Black Sabbath's Live Evil. Leading off with Neon Knights (after a short
instrumental intro) some of Tony's best riffs. Not quite there with the doomy Heaven and Hell or Children of the Grave but a great opener. The
live set on the Randy Rhoads tribute ending with Iron Man/Children of the Grave/Paranoid is one of the best. Putting COTG last would have worked better.
Sunday was looping the first ten Alan Parsons albums a couple of times.
Whiskey of the week is Old Charter. Some regard it as somewhere on the high end and some don't - at $40 for the 1.75 bottle it isn't cheap. Not especially expensive
either. I threatened to quit
buying it when they went to plastic bottles but when you been drinking a whiskey for forty years you don't just quit. I don't approve of plastic bottles and never
will but I'll cut them some slack. How they get it to taste the same over that long when you know they ain't aging it as long makes me suspicious.
Probably someday all likker will be in plastic but maybe I won't be around then. Hafta figure Turkey and Jack and the high end
stuff will hold out a while.
This is fourth of July week so figure on staying home a couple of days to avoid the traffic. Too hot to work outside much but taking a walk two or three times a day
will take off a couple of pounds so there's that. Count on a couple of folks from out of town dropping by. Remind me to order a weedwacker, one with the blades to
replace the string.
Alex glanced back. She was holding a gun. The Bulldog, almost as big as his 1911. Five rounds of .44 Special.
What's she doin' here?
Jennifer moved to stand beside him. She raised the gun, steadied with the left hand, arm bent slightly. Leaning slightly forward.
Just the way I taught her.
"Jen, don't!"
She turned her head slightly, keeping Carson in view.
"Don't what? After what he did? What he'll do again if he gets a chance?"
"He won't get a chance," Alex said. "He's going away for a long time. If he ever gets out.."
"If he breathes another five minutes it's a..."
"Jen, I know. Let the law take care of him."
He looked over at Carson, if possible more terrified now.
He killed her brother. Damn, she's gonna....

You'll like this if you detest all things fake and mean. The Israeli navy intercepted the boat and sent its passengers back where they came from,
but first they showed the little punk the 7 October video. I've only seen a bit and it is sickening and I won't watch more. Reportedly she refused
to watch. She could have watched and said it was fake as some people did. But she wouln't watch. Reportedly she is mentally compromised - autism
maybe - so most likely she is both being exploited and is cooperating with her exploiters. If so there are some really evil people involved.
What the fuck is an Internet desert? My primary residence is an undisclosed location on a county road three miles from the nearest town. I have
two gig fiber lines - one buried and one on the electric utility poles - and three 5G phones. Now I believe that there is no such thing as overkill
so others might be willing to risk occasional outages. Multiple suppliers have some other advantags.
For now the process of removal continues albeint slowly. The good news is that - reportedly - a million have self-deported. Not if we're at 20 million
a million without having to chase them down is good. We just need a few more of those millions.
African space agency? I suppose there are enough financial resources among those countries to do something. Pay the US and Russian and Chinese and EU
to put up satellites? Build spaceships and explore space? There is
one African
that does it but he lives in the U.S.A. now.
Do these people know that removing nasty stuff from libraries is not book banning? Only governments can ban books and even then they somehow survive.
I remember when I was a kid there were these pornographic novels that got passed around, like Playboys and Penthouses. And occasionally Hustler - that
was one sick dude. Anyhow I read one once and it was pretty boring. So should that kind of stuff be in a school library? Some people who are about as
sick as the Hustler guy want it to be.
Something in there about how writing and arts existed in Africa 20,000 years ago. Bill Nye has nothing to do with science. He does have a BS in mechanical
engineering or something but like the news readers he goes on TV and reads a script that someone else wrote. And since the idea is to indoctrinate the
sheeple it's mostly wrong.
Few people are being vaccinated for anything these days. Sadly the Plandemic and all that made any sensible person be suspicious of any vaccine. Or alleged
vaccine. They're afraid of them and with good reason.
Newsom seems to believe that he is Bill Clinton and it's 1992. He's nowhere close to being as slick as Clinton - and he wasn't
that slick. Ross Perot
acted as a spoiler to prevent the Republican from winning and there probably won't be anything like that this time. Nader may have just barely let Bush 43 win
but it was close. And as slick as Clinton wasn't Newsom is even less so.
Wynne paper - ain't a paper any more - said
Arkansas children
ain't being all that well compared to most. Now this ain't one of the clickbait things like Wallethub but a
supposedly respectable outfit founded by the guy
that gave us UPS. Never know though how the kids will do with what you leave them - look at the Wal-Mart kids. Anyhow they noted that
there are fewer living in poverty than before the
Plandemic there still a bunch. Did....
What, Chris?
No, I wasn't. The population of Arkansas is about three million and the utes is about a quarter of that. Call it 700K kids. Depending on
how they slice and dice it (race/ethnicity) probably 10% is what they call living in poverty. I ain't been to them parts of Little Rock and
a few other areas to see how pore people live but is it as bad as over in Memphis and St. Louis? Being pore means not having much money and
people killin' each other they way they do in those places suggests that statistically at least the quality of life is likely on any given day
to be pretty poor.
Speaking of UPS we got UPS and FedEx trucks goin' by here every day about even on weekends. FedEx has a lot of unmarked vehicles like they
renting and sometimes I get a Sunday delivery in a POV. There not but five houses on this road and deliveries about every day. Anyhow one
of them FedEx drivers in a white van was coming up the road and the UPS guy in the big brown truck was going the other way. Road ain't very
wide and it only a little over a quarter mile so you see a vehicle coming towards you ease off in a wide spot and the other driver does the
same and you must slow down a bit as you pass. Only the UPS driver just run him off the road and I came home to find a big white van in
the ditch.
The blast of the Bulldog was deafening. The next four came in rapid succession.
The silence was absolute, as if time had stopped.
Because I can't hear anything.
Four of the five shots had hit in the ten ring. Five red spots on the light blue shirt. Carson collapsed in a big heap and didn't move.
She learned fast.
Jennifer let her hand drop to her side, holding the gun loosely.
Gotta move fast.
"Put it away," Alex said. "Hang loose while I take care of this."
She didn't respond. Her cheeks were wet with tears. Alex took out his phone, tapped a number.
"Jess, I'm with Jennifer. You got my location?"
He waited as she checked.
"Got it," she replied.
"OK, you know where Scott is?"
He looked at Jennifer again.
"Good. Have him bring a throwdown, a thirty-eight snub or something. Put a couple of rounds through it and get it here fast."
He turned to Jennifer. She hadn't moved. Gently he took the gun and put it in the pocket of his jacket.
"You OK?"
"No. Maybe I will be, someday."

I ran that piece throught the Google AI thing. It's getting better - it used to not like to talk about guns. Ask about the merits of
a 20 gauge for defense and draw a blank, don't even ask what size buckshot. With a twelve I'd probably go triple-aught but could go
to zero - with a twenty figure maybe #1 or so. While a twenty would be a good choice for women - Bonnie Parker reportedly favored a
twenty because it's lighter and handles easier
and don't kick as much a full-sized man shouldn't be embarrassed to us it. If the sixteen had ever caught on it might have been a
good choice. Since Google doesn't mind discussing it let's see what Miss Parker was up to:
I prefer the Mossberg pump as the Reminton 870s had some quality problems back in the day. An auto is more likely to jam than a pump
so that's not good when you life is on the line. Or someone else you feel responsible for. Still if you can handle a 12 gauge my
opinion there's no such thing as overkill. For sure you can pump out a half-dozen twenties quicker and more accurately than with a twelve.
Wynne Progress had a
couple of crimes
but one was in Forrest City.
Declining population
isn't actually progress but actually Wynne ain't seen much progress in a long time. The article did observe that the decline is the area. Little places
like Brookland and Bay are close to big places and grow but Wynne and Forrest City are way too far out.
Alternative education
continues to increase. I know a few homeschoolers who don't apply because they don't want the government in their business even a little so the actual numbers in those leaving
government schools is somewhat larger. The fact is they spend only a few hundred a year for each kid not counting the time. If you price the time at what government teachers
get (plus administrators) you could say the time is worth quite a bit but still nowhere where schools cost.
Jonestown paper still runs
silly editorials.
What happened there was the court said that juveniles couldn't have surgery and drugs and stuff to try to change their sex. When they're adults they can do whatever they like - tattoos,
liquor, casual sex with whoever. OK, not much stops them from sex. Problem is when they're adults and out of the government schools where they get groomed they're not
as likely to want the mutilitation - physical and mental.
Going on about how the Trump adminstration
hates alphabet people
and wants them to commit suicide. That's young alphabet people. Why do they need special help? Isn't people thinking about committing suicide
something to prevent whoever it is? Should older alphabet people contamplating sucide call a different number? It's not there ain't a place to call - just not a special one for
special people.
LGBTQ+ youth, especially transgender youth, are at higher risk. A 2024 CDC study found that 26% of transgender and gender-questioning students had attempted suicide in the past year, compared
to 5% of cisgender boys and 11% of cisgender girls.
KJNB.com
Does it ever occur to them to ask why so many compared to normal people? Remember that the large numbers of alphabet people is due to the systematic grooming in the schools and
in entertainment media. Stop screwing up the minds of young people and it would reduce the problem a while bunch.
The
West Memphis Three
case is back in the news. Some kind of new test one of them wants to do. Gotta figure they're off the hook - guilty or not - so why not milk it some more?
Knew one of the lawyers in one of the cases, a LEO type that said they was guilty because of some supposedly inside info he had, foreman on one of the juries
was pretty dodgy. And then you got the Left Memphis police - pretty screwed up all over. Who did it? Beats me. Did a hick police department try to close a
case quick by hanging it on some dodgy locals? Wouldn't surprise me. It they had been proven guilty beyond any doubt reasonable or otherwise would some
people have defended them and claimed they were innocent and made movies and stuff? Without a doubt. I figured out a good while back that people suck.
Getting shot once in one of the places you least want to get shot in - obviously I'd rather
be shot there
than in the head - but it's not a very big target even on those people that have large ones. I guess the average guy might take two or three hits from a .22
but this was a 9mm. Anyhow several plus at least three is quite a few times to be getting shot anywhere. The
shootee - that is a word - was taken to the hospital but as usual no word on whether he
was a gainfully employed person who had medical insurance so the taxpayers won't be on the hook.
What, Chris?
In Memphis? What do you think?
I axt Google if Tonya is a trailer trash name and it said no. Google thinks some people say that because of the
skater chick
but it was trailer trash long before that. Bad thing is some trashy people name their kids - girls especially - what they think
sound hifalutin so perfectly respectable names like Brittany and Candice/Candace and such end up in trailer parks and detention centers.
Then you got spelling - Krystal would be high-class (or
Krystle
which is more high-dollar) but Crystal is lower socioeconomic level. But pity the Tanyas and Tanias - a Tanya is respectable (one
of the hottest gals in high school and a real sweetie was a Tanya) but a Tania can escape some of the stigma if you pronounce it correctly - tah-nee-ah -
but be sure to get it right.
Okey-dokey, the Dissociated Press telling us "what to know" about the No Kings debacle. Like you pay out something
like two billion and barely anyone outside the state-run media noticed. Most people noticed it enough to make fun
of it but that was about it. The "fake videos" and "falsehoods" are the truth getting out in spite of the best efforts
of the state media. But then another one says their own people caused the violence. Can't make up their minds. Since
the tariffs didn't cause disaster - mainly because the bad people got in line and most of them didn't go into effect or
were ended after agreement so now we're told that requiring the deadbeats to pay their student loans will wreck the economy.
I didn't realize that girls fell behind in math. And now that gender means sex except when it doesn't or however that works
can't girls just become boys and just like that they're better at math? And using drones to monitor riots seems like a
good idea - don't want drones watching you riot just don't riot. Not like they're spying on you at home they way lefties
want to.
The
Arkansas State Police
are urging drivers to stay sober this week. I urge drivers to be sober all the time but stil don't
drive around around this time if I can avoid it. How hard is it to not drink if you're gonna be driving? Or even might be.
If I get a call at night and I've had one or two I don't answer unless I'm pretty sure it's not somebody wanting me to drive
somewhere and if they do they'll have to figure out something else. Not gonna do it. The ASP also
encouraged people
not to do road rage and stuff. I disapprove of that too.
In the Jonestown paper editorials a
local guy
asks if Arkansas will have to assume some cost of SNAP. Apparently the Republicans in the Senate didn't figure they
should tell the parlimentarian to go do something anatomically impossible for most so that part got taken out. Still the prohibitions on junk food should go through
easily enough here and that's something. The cartoons are as bad as usual - one of problems these guys have is they jump on anything they think is a weak spot and by
the time the ink is dry or the pixels dumped into a file it has already been debunked.
They're really still talking about quackvaxes. Actually they going on about how RFKjr fired the people at CDC responsible for
carrying out the Plandemic. At least hardly anyone is paying attention and just that few that you see still wearing masks are
gettin' jabbed. Sadly some of them have children and inflict it on them. The guy in Minnesota that killed them people has
disappeared about as quick as the one that nicked President Trump in the ear. And the helicopter pilot that took a passenger
flight with a couple hundred people. Not that the facts didn't get out but the cause was already being addressed by that time.
Just not soon enough to save some people. Maybe at some point people will figure out that hiring illegals - besides being illegal -
can result in interruptions. Just hire Americans, pay'em a little more and you'll be all good.
This one
may or may not have been known to be illegal. I hope it wasn't the horrible death that the circumstances suggest - I wouldn't wish
that on anyone.
